There are many fun theme options, to choose from, like the 90s and even recent tropes like Squid Game. It’ll give your guests one last time to dress up and celebrate 2021. Just make sure that the theme you choose is clear and realistic.
All your guests should be able to execute it. Don’t forget to list this theme on your invites too. You could even go ahead and make your invites themed themselves. Websites like Canva could come in handy for this idea.
· Timing Is Very Important
If there is one party where timing really counts, it’s at a New Years’ party. You don’t want your guests too tired to usher in the new year. So, make sure that your party starts at a late time.
9 pm and after is a great idea and gives guests time to mingle, socialize, and still be prepped for the countdown. Don’t forget to also have things primed so that the countdown happens successfully.
· Serve Seasonal Drinks
Apple cider, eggnog, cranberry mocktails, and champagne are fun crowd-pleasers that speak to the season. This is a more fun way to get guests excited than just going for the regular old beer.

With your New Year Party, you have to set your playlist in the proper order and hide the aux cord. This means starting slow, playing some classics, and having everyone interested all night.
The best songs to play when it’s almost midnight are classics that will get everyone singing along. You could also ask friends to send their favourite party songs prior so you can add them to your playlist for the party.

You can start with cold appetizers like Caprese skewers and then serve warmer options like spicy meatballs in the middle. Games are always great when it comes to breaking the ice at parties. So, start with a few to kick off your evening festivities. It will get your friends bonding and mingling with others they haven’t met before.
