‘Your wedding day is just around the corner, I bet you can’t contain your excitement, but how will you spend the day before?’

You’ve spent months planning the big day, everything you have organised is ready for you — but how will you spend your last day before your union? Here are a few things that you can do that will help you relax before your big day!

Last-Minute Tasks

It may be essential to create a checklist, either a week or two before your wedding day. This will assure you that all priority tasks are completed and you’re left with the easy tasks that you could complete within a couple of days before your wedding.

Also, you may want to include in your checklist confirmations from each vendor, making sure all payments have been completed and providing any further instruction(s) or information that may be needed.

Pamper Night

Whether you’re feeling nervous or full of excitement, a great way to calm those emotions is a well-deserved pamper session. You and your girls or even if you’re just with your mother, could spend the afternoon pampering yourselves; turn on some relaxing music, sit with your favourite face masks while sipping your favourite cocktails/mocktails. Remember when applying face products, it’s essential to keep your skin clear from breaking out or skin irritation, you may want to consider using beauty products that you have already tested and worked well with your skin type, that way your skin is glowing and ready for your wedding day.

Get A Good Night Sleep

Sleep is very important! But if you’re experiencing wedding day excitements, you might find yourself taking a little longer than usual to actually get to sleep. By finding the right techniques and tricks that are suited for yourself in advance, you will find yourself waking up feeling fresh as a daisy, ready for what your day will bring!

Here, we have tips that you could find helpful to get you to sleep a lot quicker. But remember not to leave it too last minute, try starting your routine at least one or two weeks before your wedding day, that way you’ll get a better result:

  • Switch off all electronic devices ( Mobile phones, Tablets, TV’s)
  • Avoid caffeine drinks like coffee and alcohol
  • Listen to relaxing music while your sleeping
  • Create a sleep schedule (one or two weeks beforehand)

Outfit preparation

If your bridal party is staying with you the night before, you might want to consider organising your wedding day outfits and accessories ready for the morning. Start off by laying everything out on the floor or bed: bridesmaids dresses, shoes, accessories and lastly hair and beauty products. Once you have all your stuff laid out, place them away carefully. You don’t want to get the bridesmaid dresses wrinkled or realise a shoe is missing!

We do hope that our tips have given you a more helpful mindset to help you have a relaxing and enjoyable night before your big day. Do remember that this is YOUR wedding, so make it a night to remember!

We would also love to hear some of your stories and tips that have helped you. If you would like to ask any questions, send us a message on our social media, we’re happy to have a chat with you!

See you next week!
