Christmas Lockdown | Ideas To Include On Your Christmas Zoom Party For Your Family & Friends.
‘2020 has been a rollercoaster, but that shouldn’t mean Christmas is to be cancelled!’
Christmas is right around the corner — wow this year has flown by! The majority of special occasions have been put on hold, due to COVID, but we can’t let this ruin Christmas. Planning a virtual Christmas party is a great way to celebrate with your friends and family while keeping safe, so here are some great ideas and activities to make your party extra special!
These activities can be carried out while using video chats like Zoom — a video calling service that is easy to use and great for communicating from friends/family and businesses. But if you’re new to technology and would like more information on how to celebrate Christmas safely with your family, here are some video tutorials to show how you can set up Zoom in time for your Christmas party.
Virtual Invitations
Want to get your guests excited for your virtual party? Sending them a virtual invitation is an amazing way to get your guests pumped up for the day. If you’re looking to design your invitation yourself, Canva is a great website for designing invitations and many more; you can either use templates that are suggested for you or create your own from scratch including photographs of your guests or Christmas animations. We’ve created a Pinterest board showing you some adorable ideas you could include on your Christmas invitation.
Christmas Dress Up Themes
Dress up codes are a fun way to get your family/friends to challenge themselves into dressing up as the best characters they can be; whether it’s characters from Christmas movies, human Christmas trees, snowmen and baubles or even picking a theme outside of Christmas! During the party, you could even host a competition for the best-dressed character/costume for a little extra festive cheer.
Quiz Time!
Fancy planning some fun games to keep your family and friends occupied during the party? There are lots of quizzes you could find online or you could even create your own! Set timers for the round and keep a track of the scores to see who wins; you could even provide virtual prizes or stocking fillers to be sent out by post for the winners of the game/round.
Little Gifts For The Family/Friends
If you plan to give your virtual guests little gifts before the party, you can find lots of cute DIY treats that you could post out to your family. For example, this delicious hot chocolate treat is a great way to involve your guest and bring a little cheer either during or after the party. You could even choose to make them together during the video call!
Do you have any fun ideas you’d want to add to this list? Perhaps some virtual games you think we’ve missed? Feel free to let us know in the comments or via our social media in the links below!
